New Items in My HAF Shop & a Story

Have you ever gotten a song in your head and just could not get it out? Well...that is exactly what happened to me recently and it has caused me some distress. It isn't a bad song....as a matter of fact...I happen to like it. But...nothing I did would make it go away. I guess you would like to know what the song is...well...it is 'The Yellow Rose of Texas'


                       There's a yellow rose in Texas that I'm gonna see
                       Nobody else could miss her not half as much as me
                       She cried so when I left it was like I broke her heart
                       And if I ever find we never more will part.


Since I couldn't get the song out of my head...I figured maybe I should do something..maybe I was meant to....I don't know....plant a yellow rose.....so I did just that. I have a brand new yellow rose planted in my garden. A pretty little thing she is....but the song didn't go away.

What do you do when you can't get a song out of your head? I really need to know. This was very distressing.

Anyway...I ended up crocheting a Yellow Rose coverlet. This baby is constructed out of 30 - 12 inch squares...which makes it a whopping 5 feet by 6 feet. Just take a look:
