According to Kris of Lisianblue, she is someone that just enjoys creating and has for many years. Kris is definitely a multi-talented artisan! She paints, sews, crochets, and knits, too. Where does she find the time to do all of these wonderful activities?

Take a look at this beautiful glass ornament. The intricate detail in the painting shows the loving care that Kris gives to each of her items she creates.

A Name Change & New Items in my Shop

Because my interests go off in several different directions and there is more than a strong possibility that more than jewelry will be showcased on this site, I decided a name change was in order. I believe doing this early is important because there are still a lot of people that don't connect me with the old name yet. So...from now on all of my handmade creations will be sold under the name, SOUTHERN COUNTRY CREATIONS.

There are five NEW bracelets that I have added to my shop over at Handmade Artists Shops. Go on over and check them out...purchase a few!! If the sizes aren't quite right for you, I will custom size a bracelet just for you. Just let me know the size you need when you checkout and you will get it!

Recently there was some discussion about about a piece of jewelry/art from another site using a hex nut and zip tie....now, I am not bashing the artist that came up with this idea...I actually thought the hex nut was a good idea and have now incorporated one into one of my creations. Just take a look here.

Just click on any of the photos and it will take you to that bracelet in my shop!

Here is another new bracelet that I created this past week and is NEW in the shop. This bracelet started out as a single but ended up as a double-wrap.

This one has kind of a bold look and I liking it more and more!

This next bracelet was created while showing some of my gifted students how to make bracelets. It is made from lime green beading cord and pink crackle glass beads.

Black Hemp and Gold Glass beads with a vintage floral engraved button closure.

Triple-Strand Crochet Bracelet with glass beads. This one has a safety chain (which also allows you to adjust the size) and a lobster-claw hook fastener.

Click on any of the photos and it will take you to that particular bracelet in my Handmade Artist Shop.

I would really LOVE it if you would "LIKE" me on my FaceBook page at SOUTHERN COUNTRY CREATIONS.

Also....feel free to follow me on Twitter HERE.

I would love to see any comments that you have regarding my name change or new items.

Thanks for visiting and I hope to see you again soon!!!

HAF Featured Artist Chainmaille by MBOI

This week's HAF featured artist: Chainmaille by MBOI aka Andrew, is the other half of the founders of Handmade Artists Forum, Handmade Artists Shop, and the Blog for both. He is also husband to Kimberly and a father that just so happens to also manage to create some FABULOUS chainmaille in his spare time.

I look at all these intricate little circles that are placed in these pieces and I think....WOW!! I can't imagine having to deal with all the little circles of metal and making sure that each an every one of them are closed exactly right. I can just see little circles flying all over the room....due either to my ineptness or maybe my temper tantrums because I can't get them to act just right. But enough about that....

lets have a look at some of Andrew's handiwork.

This STERLING SILVER DAISY BRACELET can be custom made with other metals in different sizes.

Photobucket

Earrings are something most ladies and many men wear daily. Take a look at these beautiful STERLING SILVER BYZANTINE EARRINGS. They will coordinate with anything you wear.

Photobucket

With the variety of metals used in the BRAIDED EUROPEAN 4 in 1 CHAINMAILLE BRACELET it is truly a "showstopper".

Photobucket

If you see something you like...but maybe you would prefer it be bracelet instead of a necklace...just ask Andrew...he will be more than happy to do custom orders. That is one of the perks offered by handmade artisans.

Thanks for stopping by and visiting....until next time...hope you have a splendid day!!
